L.J. Smith's patented Bore Buster® has become a very popular and valuable tool to many stair installers. This sophisticated and easy to use tool increases the quality and speed of handrail installation. It bores precision perpendicular or angled holes in straight or curved wooden handrails. It fits most power drills and includes several bits. Many dealers across the country purchase our Bore Buster® and offer it on a rental program. This program has been quite successful as this is an economical alternative for many stair installers who might install only a few stairways per year.

Our 42” wood balusters can be trimmed to 38” or 34”. So if you're ever in a bind, just remember that L.J. Smith's 42"balusters can be trimmed (from the bottom) to make shorter balusters.
